Amoeba’s Lorica: Meme-ories 38 (Revolutionary Similarities)

Or … if We the People are unwilling to bear the cost of suppressing “fundamentalist” revolts, and the cost of creating societies that serve people so that they don’t feel that they have nothing to lose by revolting …

maybe it’s because the fundamentalist revolts are what we want.

Earlier this month, the WHO asked wealthy nations to stop distributing booster shots until at least the end of September to give poorer countries the chance to vaccinate their populations with the first rounds of shots.

“Shortly after the U.S. announced its booster plan, the international agency condemned wealthy nations that support boosters for the general public.

“‘Boosting the entire U.S. population while poor people are dying in poor countries is tone-deaf and is widely viewed as uncaring,ʻ Gostin said. ʻItʻs also a slap in the face to WHO after it called for a booster moratorium.'”

And We the People have the God damned fucking gall to wonder how come the Taliban, and the Viet Minh, and the Iranians, and ISIS, and yadayada keep winning, and why that winning keeps getting easier and easier. In two:

WE SUCK!!
